Student Funding

There are a number of fellowship and scholarship opportunities students may apply for.

Global & International Studies students Zachary Kelsay, Kaitlyn Johnson, and Spencer Shanks received KU Security Affairs Research Fellowships. In addition to gaining a deeper understanding of global security, each received $1,000 a semester. The fellows researched understudied foreign perspectives relating to security issues. Then they wrote commentaries on their findings, many of which were published in a monthly e-journal. The fellowship is a cooperative project of the Foreign Military Studies Office at Fort Leavenworth, KU Center for Global & International Studies, and KU Center for Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies.
