Opportunities For Faculty
China, India, Korea Exchange Agreement (CIK) Support Fund
In
order to develop, strengthen, and maintain institutional exchanges and
collaborations between faculty researchers and/or students at the
University of Kansas and faculty researchers and/or students at
selected post-secondary institutions in China, India, and Korea, the
chancellor has created a special fund to support such endeavors. The
specific purpose of the fund is to help departments and schools to
initiate and/or build relationships on behalf of the University of
Kansas with peer units at institutions of higher learning in these
countries. This fund is administered by International Programs.
Travel Funds & Information
International Travel Fund for Summer Humanities Research
International Programs offers funds to support KU faculty pursuing international humanities research abroad during the summer.
Travel Fund for International Conference and Research
International Programs has funds to sponsor faculty travel for research or to present a paper at an international conference. Travel grants are contingent upon funding from the Endowment Association and the KU Center for Research, and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to tenured or tenure-track faculty or faculty equivalents. Faculty are eligible to receive one travel grant in a three-year period. Fill out this form to apply for international conference funding and send it to Bette Luther in International Programs.
Employees traveling on university business should file out-of-state travel requests regardless of the source of funding that supports the trip, including funding entirely from the traveler’s pocket. Filing the form takes very little time but may help to establish that the claimant was on university business if an injury or accident occurs. The University has insurance coverage for KU employees traveling abroad.
