Ms. Adamson taught academic writing to graduate students for five and a half years as faculty in KU’s Graduate Writing Program (2009-2014). She currently teaches graduate academic writing in GIST 898: Master’s Thesis and in Graduate Writing Experience 1 and 2 for the Interagency Studies Program of GIST and the Command college at Leavenworth. She also works with junior faculty in the sciences as writing program coordinator in the COBRE-PSF at the Higuchi Biosciences Center. She brings this breadth of academic writing experience to students at GIST, as well as grounding in interdisciplinary studies from her own degrees in Latin American Studies (BA 2002, MA 2007) and journalism (BS 2002). In her courses, she loves watching graduate students gain confidence in their writing, which nurtures their passion for the topics they explore through research.
